Robert Rosenberg

Senior Strategist

Rob was an early executive in Lucent Technologies New Ventures Group, where he went on to co-found New Venture Partners, a $700M venture capital fund dedicated to forming and funding spinouts of startups based on corporate innovation. Rob has served on many Boards including Internet Photonics (acquired by Ciena), Liquavista B.V. (acquired by Samsung), ShopWell Solutions (acquired by HarvestMark), and Vidus (acquired by @Road). For ten years, Rob served on the board of the Corporate Venturing and Innovation conference during a time when it grew to be the largest global gathering of CVCs.  

Recently, Rob has moved to the entrepreneurial side as SVP Business & Corporate Development of a startup spun out of MIT to commercialize smartphone powered medical devices and CEO of a health and wellness mobile app company spun out of IDEO.


Rob serves as an Adjunct Professor of Entrepreneurial Thinking at Stevens Institute of Technology.

Sudha Gupta

Sudha Gupta has nearly ten years experience providing valuation services and analytical support to mid-sized and startup companies. Her skills include financial modeling, report writing, and detailed valuations for tax compliance and financial reporting purposes including intangible assets valuations and valuations required under IRC code section 409A and SFAS123R, SFAS141R, SFAS142, and SFAS157.  


Sudha is a Chartered Accountant and earned her MBA from SCMHRD in Pune, India.

Siobhan McDermott, President of Strategic Management Consulting, has 25 years experience in nonprofit management and consulting. Scott Faris is an experienced serial entrepreneur with over two decades of operating, venture-financing and commercialization experience, involving more than 20 start-up and emerging-growth technology companies.  Scott is currently CEO of Panaceutics, a company focused on scaling personalized therapeutics for wellness and chronic disease management.


Scott has a healthcare startup background as a Founder and Chairman of Nanozyme, Inc., a nano-therapeutics company as well as Aerosonix, Inc, a medical device company developing next generation drug delivery platforms.  He also serves as a Venture Partner in IDEA Fund, a Durham, NC based venture capital fund focused on providing early stage investment capital to technology companies in the Southeastern United States.  Scott serves on the Board of Directors of several companies including Lightpath Technologies, Inc. (LPTH), Absolutely Natural, Inc. and Open Photonics, Inc.
